Undergraduate ePortfolio Assistants
Below are examples of ePortfolios created by the ePortfolio team. Although they come from a variety of disciplines and experiences, each portfolio shares the author's unique skills and knowledge. When done well, an effective ePortfolio draws on a variety of tools to convey this story, including design elements (such as color, font, layout) and multimedia (such as images, sound, and video). When making a portfolio, we encourage you to embrace the opportunities digital media offers, moving beyond just text alone.
LeADERS Portfolios
Below are examples of ePortfolios from the LeADERS program, which encourages students to create a narrative of their learning over the course of their studies. In particular, LeADERS students share examples of work and reflect on their learning within courses and experiences that considered to be particularly impactful. To learn more about the LeADERS program, please visit the LeADERS site.
Project Portfolios
Below are examples of project or "micro" ePortfolios. These tend to be brief (sometimes only a single page with multiple sections rather than multiple pages) and tightly focused on the evolution of a project or exploring a topic in depth. The authors typically reflect on the process and content, identifying what they learned during the project and how they learned that information.
Course Portfolios
Below are examples of course ePortfolios. These portfolios tend to have content marking the author's experience throughout a particular course, providing examples of their work, sometimes incorporating images, audio, and video of their experiences, and reflecting on the course overall.
Program and/or Professional Portfolios
Below are examples of program and professional portfolios. These portfolios tend to be built over years, with the author sharing content from multiple courses and experiences in order to create a narrative of learning. These portfolios can also be revised so that they are more professional in nature after graduation, allowing the author to share their skills and knowledge in an in-depth and personal manner.
ODU Graduate Portfolios
Below are examples of ePortfolios produced by graduate students. As with other ePortfolio genres, graduate student authors often share material from multiple courses and professional experiences, showcasing their expertise as practictioners within their fields.

As ePortfolio use increases at ODU, we are developing a public repository of showcase portfolios. Please bear in mind that many of these may change over time, as the authors continue to work with and evolve their ePortfolios. If you have an example you would like to add to our gallery, please contact the ePortfolio Team at eportfolio@glutendiet.net
You will find examples of ePortfolios shared below. They have been built on various platforms (Adobe Express, Wix, and WordPress for instance), for a variety of projects, courses, programs, and purposes. While we have highlighted some examples we find particularly effective, there are many more compelling ePortfolio examples available in the ePortfolio archive.
